Canadian Centre for Energy Information [Centre for Energy]

On January 21, the Centre for Energy opened its second satellite venue in the newly renovated Calgary Chamber of Commerce business centre. Sponsored in part by EnCana Corporation, the kiosk-style satellite venue is equipped with a computer that provides direct access to the online world of energy through www.centreforenergy.com

In February 2003, the Centre for Energy and the City of St. John's announced the establishment of the inaugural satellite venue in downtown St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador."

The satellite venues provide free, convenient access to Canadian energy news and information through our portal," said Colleen Killingsworth, President, Centre for Energy. "

We plan to expand our network of satellite venues across Canada and will continue to seek new opportunities and sponsors interested in increasing public access to Canadian energy information."

Launched in April 2003, www.centreforenergy.com is a growing and dynamic resource offering encyclopedia-type information about conventional and alternative sources of energy.

Daily news feeds from over 55 sources can be instantly accessed via the portal's energy news centre at http://www.centreforenergy.com/CentreUpdate.asp?Loc=7&EUID=7241030.
